The Art of Asking

Art is one of those things where you either get it or you don’t. Getting insight into why some paintings are worth millions and others barely register demands true expertise.

This reminds me of an old question I once came across by Linny Mcdonalds that asked: Why is Jackson Pollock regarded as an important artist?

Here are some more interesting questions about art where this expertise can really help:

Charlotte Burg mentions the recent sale of “The Water Lily Pond” by Monet for 85 million dollars and asks what’s the most anyone has ever paid for a painting.

Sarina asked: Who was the Mona Lisa?

PaigeH raised a moral dilemma surrounding art by Guillermo Habacuc Vargas and asks if this really is art.

Here are some new unanswered questions about art waiting for your input.
