Apparently, we’re making it a habit to adopt stray pets. Here is a question I just posted to Yedda. Your help is most welcome:

Name The Yedda Dog

In the past we asked you to name the Yedda cat, BennyS suggested the name Zonda, which received the most thumbs up.

Today this beautiful dog wandered into our office:

We know it belongs (or belonged) to someone (it has a collar but no ID) but we don’t know its name. Please help us name the newly appointed Yedda dog.

I just got word on the earthquake that hit the UK last night and decided to check out Yedda for some more info on quakes when I came across this:

Morine Hall has just answered a question by JohnR about the UK quake. She gives an incredible insider account of the events.

Since launching the Yedda Toolbar we got some feedback from Safari and Opera users that wanted to be able to do more on Yedda even though they can’t use the toolbar (it isn’t available for those browsers yet).

I’m happy to share that we have another bookmarklet available to accompany the Yedda “ask” bookmarklet you can now get another bookmarklet that lets you view other questions asked about a web page you are on.

Get both bookmarklets easily by right-clicking on them and adding to the favorites or by simply dragging them to your bookmarks toolbar:

Good news for all Mac heads, we’ve sorted out a bunch of issues we had with the Safari browser. The new changes on Yedda bring an end to the cruel discrimination of Safari users . So now, everyone using the browser will have a much smoother experience on Yedda with everything functioning as it does on IE or Firefox.

The featured Yeddais are people we hand pick who have been particularly helpful on Yedda. These people have shared lots of their knowledge to help others and we love it! In order to show our appreciation we send the featured Yeddais some free stuff and feature them in the monthly Yedda newsletter.

This month we received a reply to the newsletter from the riddler that made us all smile:

One of the things we like to work on in Yedda, is letting you use Yedda wherever you want to across the internet. You can already use the Yedda widgets, Yedda’s Twitter integration, Yedda’s Facebook application or our custom Feedflares, but that just wasn’t enough.

My experience with Valentine’s day over the years has been ambivalent. For anyone in a good relationship it’s a day that reminds us how fun it is to be in love. For anyone in a bad relationship or without a partner, it just brings up bad emotions.
