Yedda Joins AOL

AOL logo Yedda Logo

The news is in, and it’s pretty exciting: Yedda is now a part of AOL. We are happy to announce that we have merged with the world’s leading internet company that is already serving over 114 million users world-wide.

Yedda Balloon THANK YOU!

We wouldn’t have made it without you. Yedda is all about the people that use it to connect and share knowledge. Your contribution is what made Yedda grow and flourish. Our new relationship with AOL will further accelerate this growth, so there will be more people asking questions and answering them. Yay!

What does this mean?
For a while, everything is going to look pretty much the same. And then you’ll start noticing it – there will be more interesting questions, more answers coming in a shorter time, more people to connect and share with. So basically, it’s going to be more of the same good thing.

What’s in it for you?
Besides being a knowledge hub and a great place to find answers, Yedda is also a wonderful way to let people know just how much you know. Your profile page shows anyone on Yedda how many questions you’ve answered and the number of thumbs up you received. Your profile may also include a link to your blog or website. You can also take your profile with you and flash it on your blog or social network page using Yedda profile widget. If you are a blogger we also have other great tools especially for you. Now, all your Yedda activity will be visible through the internet’s largest community.

Will the Yedda experience change?
Yes. It will continue to change and evolve, like it always has. We do plan to keep it open and free for all of you to ask questions and post answers in your areas of knowledge & interests. If you want to suggest a change to Yedda please send us feedback or post a comment to this post.

If you‘d like to read more about the AOL-Yedda merger, we have gotten some great coverage since the deal was announced on some of our favorite blogs. Check out Techcrunch, GigaOM or Mashable as well as the mainstream media.

We’re looking forward to having all you Yedda pioneers with us in the future and again, would like to thank you all for your participation, feedback and ideas until now.

Avichay Nissenbaum, Yaniv Golan and the rest of the Yedda Team.
